Initially while starting a fruit diet few might complain of meager problems like diarrhea, etc. Do not consume more of citrus fruits, avoid consuming more of them. It might lead to an increase in detoxification. Try and eat more of non acid fruits and fruits with high quantity of water like water melon instead.

The ketogenic diet was invented in the 1900s. This diet is extensively used for people affected by epilepsy. It did gain popularity and was used extensively but in due course of time with the new inventions in the field of food and nutritional diet the ketogenic diet lost its importance and was slowly out of use.

Roasted Garlic

Many medicinal herbs can be used with great benefits in our routine lives. While a few have great medicinal value in their most basic form a few others would have to be processed in order to bring out the medicinal value. Garlic is a great wonder herb as it is more commonly known in the herbs circle. However overlooking the positive side of garlic many may have a garlic allergy or some might have to face the side effects of taking garlic in an inappropriate proportion.

But this will surely not defy the fact that it has some great medicinal values that can be utilized in a much better way. To try and find a mid way through all this fuss is to roast the garlic. Consuming roasted garlic is a great solution. The strong essence that it comes with is reduced drastically and the odor is reduced to as much as 3 to 4 times its original smell. The complete flavor reduces to as much as 2 to 3 times the original. It is much easier to use and can be combined with a number of other dishes.

You would have to remove individual cloves of garlic, need not peel off the entire skin just the extra paper like skin. Add olive oil to the cloves. Try mixing it well with fingers and make sure it is evenly spread. Keep it inside in an aluminum foil and then keep it in a preheated oven. Roast it until it becomes golden brown and then you can store and use it for anything. It can be mashed and mixed with your routine soups, mayonnaises, sauces, etc.

Many believe that life starts after fifty and how true it is! In fact many people do not have much time to enjoy life during their early years. A few others invest their early years in earning a living. However to enjoy life after fifty it is extremely important to maintain good health.

The body mechanism starts slowing down after the golden age of fifty. The body tends to slow down the process of breaking body fat for energy. It also tends to store fat contents more around the body organs rather than the body. This increases the chances of health problems. In such circumstances if the intake of food still remains the same as during ones youth or the early years then it would definitely affect the body in the wrong way.
