Many believe that life starts after fifty and how true it is! In fact many people do not have much time to enjoy life during their early years. A few others invest their early years in earning a living. However to enjoy life after fifty it is extremely important to maintain good health.

The body mechanism starts slowing down after the golden age of fifty. The body tends to slow down the process of breaking body fat for energy. It also tends to store fat contents more around the body organs rather than the body. This increases the chances of health problems. In such circumstances if the intake of food still remains the same as during ones youth or the early years then it would definitely affect the body in the wrong way. It is always better to maintain a certain diet that has been advised by an experienced dietician after the age of fifty. More over after the age of fifty the body as a whole tends to lose its muscle, strength, flexibility, etc. This in a way does affect inversely in case the eating habits are still the same.

There have been various researches conducted in support of the above fact. It has been noticed that people following a restricted nutritional diet have lesser risks of falling prey to major diseases like heart attacks, blood pressure, asthma, etc. Due to the lesser intake of fat content the fat depositions around the arteries and other major organs is less and this in turn prevents them from major heart related issues and other blood pressure related problems.
